Help, there's an error with the game!

When in doubt, check your starbound.log file - see instructions here on how to access it!

1. How do I get started?

Make sure you have done the following:

  • You have access to the Outpost
  • You have acquired a Mech from Dr. Akaggy.
  • You have an Anvil.

Travel throughout space to acquire ten Iron Bars, five Kyber crystals, two Salvaged Interface Chips, two Static Cells, and a Salvaged Actuator. Once you have acquired your first Kyber crystal, the recipe for the SWG Crafting Station will be unlocked at the Anvil, allowing you the ability to create Star Wars-themed furniture and devices.

2. Do I need other mods to play this mod?

At present, this mod requires a character extender in order to be played. We recommend the Xbawks Character Extender mod, but any other mod that does the same function can be used.

Aside from that, other mods worth using alongside Starbound Awakens are as follows:

3. Where do I get to create Light Sabers and other Jedi-related stuff?

Use the SWG Crafting Station that's built from the Anvil to build an Ancient Forge. You will then need Kyber Crystals as well as various other artefacts to be combined at the Ancient Forge to create weapons there.

Next, find a Jedi Guard tenant. He can be spawned in for the following requirements, and he should sell you the pieces that you need.

4. What mods do you support? will you see more mods covered later on?

As of November 2023, the following mods are COMPATIBLE with Starbound Awakens:

  • Frackin' Universe (this mod is projected to support and complement Frackin' Universe, incompatibility report on Frackin' Universe Miraheze is a false positive).
  • Playable Fenerox!, and
  • The Felin mod pack
  • Alchemical Reactions,
  • Universal Generation Overhaul Reborn (both versions)

Some mods are intended to improve gameplay quality. The CCCCC mod is scheduled to have content that feeds into Starbound Awakens.

5. What other mods are incompatible with this mod?

  • Erchius Alloy - has an item ID clash with Starbound Awakens that will prevent your machine from running both mods. No plans are in place to fix this issue as of January 2020.
  • Unlimited Crew Size - does not support Starbound Awakens. But why ask for unlimited crew when fifteen is enough? or twenty for that matter?
